Never in my life had I imagined a moment as magical as this. Walking into the Armory, the winter wonderland set immediately took my breath away. And when the first look stepped out and stepped gracefully down the stairs, an audible synchronized gasp pervaded the audience. Marc Jacobs proved his sheer brilliance yet again this season with what was basically a pompous Mad Hatter party for beautiful people. It was Alice in Wonderland.. less the Alice, more the wonderland. Fluffy wild hats perched atop sparkling scarves, embellished coats and oversized jewel encrusted loafers. I may have exclaimed “i die!” on twitter over a hundred times in the past week, but the Marc Jacobs show was the first to seriously blow my mind away.
Marc by Marc Jacobs show later this afternoon. Will report back.4 COMMENTS
NYFW day one.
THRIFTED blouse, palazzo pants, belt, flats | FERGIE caged heels | MARC BY MARC JACOBS weavy-t lil shifty | c/o BIJOU FASHION JEWELRY hematite necklace
And here we are again, New York Fashion Week. So glad to be home in bed after a long day of running to shows and traipsing back and forth between Lincoln Center and Milk Studios. Managed to sneak some in-between time for some quick outfit shots. Believe it or not, my entire get-up today was 90% thrifted. The blouse, the belt, the pants, and the flats (for when my feet couldn’t take the heels anymore) total literally $12. I like to think I did pretty well for twelve bucks :)
Sad I’m missing the HONOR and Nolcha afterparties tonight.. work calls tomorrow, but I’ll be back again this weekend full swing with a packed schedule of exciting shows and event. If you haven’t heard yet, follow me along on my new live page with of-the-moment instagram feeds!
c/o JBRAND jeans | KAKTUS faux fur vest | THRIFTED silk lace panel blouse, cream hat | VINTAGE clamshell purse | STEVE MADDEN westii wedges in leopard
Quick post today because the boyfriend claims to be dying of hunger and needs to get lunch pronto. Finally got a chance to whip out these gorgeous blood orange jeans from JBrand. They fit like soft buttery gloves and the color is such a delicious pop. Paired it with my new favorite blouse, (thrifted for $1 of course: a silky white number with pearl buttons, lace collars, and fascinating draped panels), a funky patent clamshell purse, and a hat with a slightly dorky bow.
